I wonder if something resembling a 'happy' ending is even possible here. If we assume that the hit and run incident was the guy's dad (it was never confirmed), and he doesn't end up dying, and if she somehow manages to repent..? But I don't see that happening. I think her moral event horizon (by anime standards) probably rests on whether or not she actually did kill someone.

At the same time I half wonder if the guy she was bullying will end up on her side later on somehow... Maybe it's from seeing too many gal teasing manga lmao.
Notably, he wasn't in the group chat making fun of her. Though he seemed like a more general outcast anyhow, I suppose...

While a hit and run is terrible, I think if the guy doesn't die there's a chance for atonement and reflection. At the very least, her 'just desserts' aren't being served by M, who I consider to be an additional villain rather than some sort of karmic force.
