I get that it's prolly 'dark' comedy for the tag but surprised no tragedy/psych tag lol. Wonder how much mascots have control of who they pick, i guess it makes sense to choose younger innocent girls in that case

Isn't she just an American police officer? Can't move in until the victims are finished off, "The sound of children screaming has been removed", etc. I never knew America had so many magical girls.. :thonk:
Just call it population control 8D; tho maybe it's to 'build chara' like how all the madoka charas are practically tortured and persevere anyways but while it does seem cruel it is true that most normal ppl wouldn't step in as a bystander to come to the rescue if they see stuff happening , but that kinda 'meter' does seem like BS as opposed to just having magic lol

Thanks for the food frens. Hamita cooking again with the short stories. I so look forward to the day where he gets a honest-to-God romcom serialized and it ends up being a major mainsteam hit à la Kaguya-sama or Rent-a-Whore. Something with zero darkness involved. That would be hilarious. His quick sketches and doodles are great, imagine if he had like a dedicated editor and even assistants... I want promising Pixiv/Twitter guys to get a shot at making it big...

This kinda of existential thought is in line with the authors best works.
If only it wasn't a short comedy and instead a long and drawn out psychological drama.

Thanks for the translation spinning_donuts
