I was thinking similar... We aren't even at ch 20, and the antagonists are easily warping reality and tossing around god-powers; kinda makes me question how escalation will work going forward.

Hopefully it can make it work, and we don't have the next badguy transform into a super-de-duper evil god 2: tournament edition.
