Yeah, the story still kinda feels like a mess.

And despite establishing that the MC is effectively intended to be overpowered, he keeps meeting godly beings that toy with him in one way or another only for some way for him to roundabout beat them somehow with some other element of deus ex or whatever it is. He also continues to lack any semblance of wisdom of age considering he's basically nearly 60 years old mentally at this point.

We still don't have a fully established idea of how OP the MC is, but we know he constantly gets the wool pulled over his eyes. Which really puts into question just how bad a threat the demon god truly was. Though I suppose the most basic cemented idea of how OP the MC can be is that he goes Super Saiyan, takes his time to do so similar to Dragon Ball, doesn't interrupt his opponent mid monologue and doesn't pre-emptively take care of clear threats. So I suspect that things will take another turn for the worse while having the ability to stop it before he actually gets things into gear and then beats the big bad of the week.
