The volume cover art kinda reminds me of 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim art style.

This is...not exactly deep but way better than I was expecting. The premise is at least interesting

More generic isekai dogshit with a decent artist.
Was about to say the exact same thing. Getting tired of boring protagonists w/zero personality and hax that kills any sort of tension but the art is goated. Reminds me of dusk maiden of amnesia.

I’ve looked up the RAWs up to chapter 30, and well, the manga has completely diverged from the novel it’s based on. Honestly, only the beginning aligns with the source material. Many interactions with supporting characters were omitted — most of them weren’t even introduced in the manga. While the overarching storylines share some common points between the novel and the manga, they’ve been simplified, had their context altered, or were brutally condensed in the latter. Events from the most recent chapters didn’t happen in the novel at all and were created solely for the manga.

The novel is still ongoing, and it’s hard to tell whether it’s nearing its conclusion or only halfway through. This likely led to the decision to alter the events in the manga to allow it to conclude independently of the novel.

"Demographic: Seinen"
Is it...?
I mean, in the most technical terms, it might be -- since it feels like it was made in circa 2000s, but in terms of art quality and writing quality. So this manga just might be nostalgia-bait for millenials.
Otherwise, going by the 1st chapter, for an example -- there's just no way you can dedicate an entire panel to:
"ODIN EDGE: WAR GOD BLADE"
and think someone over 18 will ever think that's cool.

Edit:
read all 11 chaps. Maybe the LN does it better, but the manga' writing is really low quality.
That being said, I do think the whole aspect of "the gods from myths are soul eating eldritch abominations" is pretty interesting, but it's wasted on this 2000-esque writing etiquette, full of ye olde tropes.

Mc is shown to be strong yet still struggles and is helpless in some fights.

The author keeps displaying how OP the mc is in this world yet always nerfs him when it counts

I'm not sure that's a fair assessment. Like it's foreshadowed that he has been pushing his limits several times before we get a fight where he barely survives. It's kind of like his energy efficiency is terrible from the very start more or less.

This one kind of let me down. It wasn't the strongest start to begin with but the characters' priorities are all over the place, and it hits my pet peeve of getting too distracted during fights or critical situations. I get the desire to draw the characters in cool poses but maybe keep that to the non-plot pages. Not when you're facing off people who can utilize godlike powers on a whim.

It's never fully clarified why MC doesn't just instantly win every fight but I'll be generous and say SOME of it is due to his past body not being able to do all the things he did in the other world. But clearly a large part of it is just him having terrible judgement. I find it too difficult to root for someone who is their own biggest enemy and not in a clever character development way.

Now that I've had some time to digest this... This is kind of a mess. The MC is powerful, but at the same time he hits his limits very quickly, however he also constantly surpasses those limits, but there's no clear feeling as to what those limits are. We're constantly fighting against godlike beings without any legit breaks which presents its own set of problems. There's a lot about the storytelling elements which are vague, and that results in us not really having a point of reference to anchor ourselves within the story.

There are some elements that show promise, but at this point I don't trust the skill of the mangaka doing this adaptation to pull anything worthwhile off. This doesn't even do a good enough job as an adaptation to make me want to check out the source material instead, and it even turns me off from the idea of checking out the source. Honestly, it feels soulless which is probably the worst part for me. The 7.3 rating this has at the moment is way too high. This is something closer to a 4 or 5.
