It just occurred to me: does Sou's mom have a job? She seems to have an awful lot of free time to cosplay and such...

Previous chapters mentions gov subsidies for children and extra subsidy for having a male.

She does leave for work in chapter 36, just looks like a typical japanese salarywoman. She definitely only works part-time as a mother of 3 (one of them male) in this economy/society. Honestly with the subsidies being a thing it makes me wonder why she works at all, but perhaps a steady employment is one of the conditions to meet, lest too many women take advantage of the "free" money just for pumping out babies.
