Watermarking is generally discouraged as it's bad practice and makes distractions on the page. Some people notice it, some don't. AI is also pretty good at removing it and redrawing over the space as well, so they often don't work when someone actually wants to steal it.

Even without AI the raws are all free so a couple seconds in ms paint per page will work too. Personally I like just having the credits page, real ones know who to thank.

Don't make him do any more work than he is doing now. He is already translating the Indonesian and is doing a good job with the English.
