So nothing in these R18 chapters, and re-reading all of the regular timeline chapters there's nothing about conception/insemination rates are low in this world. But the rate can be inferred.

IRL males tend to be conceived at slightly higher rates than females, something like 105:100. But there's various factors such as a more vulnerable immune system and men being active in conflicts, that end up making it so that in most societies it's a 1:1.

So something had to have happened in this alternate world where we went from 105:100 to 1:39. Something on a genetic level, had damaged the reproductive system of humans in this story. And given how often Sou creampies the women in his life, but have not yet been impregnated, there is a serious problem with how often children are even conceived (hentai logic aside).

Edit: The behavior of the women being all "GET ME PREGNANT PLAPPLAP PLEASE~" can be justified as a necessary adaptation not only due to the rarity of men, but how hard it is to get pregnant in this story.

Edit2: writing out 105:100 next to 1:39 is a bit of fridge horror. That's a near extinction ratio.
Hell, even without taking into account that for various reasons the near balanced ratio is an average, even in the countries where the ratio skews in one direction or the other (for example Russia where there are a lot more women than men or China where there's a lot of men for every woman) things aren't even close to that bad

Reading a novel (reborn into a world of chastity reversal) they explained it that it in fact was an ancient disease in the old days which changed history that men were a natural resource due to scarcity. One of these effects was that there were more foreigners everywhere and racism was like less bad than OTL. The author has extra pages for worldbuilding in the novel's appendix thing. Too bad manga adaptation got axdd

that's also how it works IRL though no? depending on the male's sperm count and how frequent female ovulation happens it can be anywhere between pregnant on the first try, to trying for a year or two.
she also doesn't even say how much harder el-natural vs invetro is so we can't compare yet to IRL ratios.

that being said, the fact that none of MC's women are pregnant yet leads me to think he's another infertile hentai doujin protag. >_>

Well like somebody else has already said, the timeline of the story is just a few days to a few weeks has gone by so far. Even if they were pregnant it would only just start to show in any form of symptoms at a month at the earliest.

Chastity or Moral reversal is a separate universe isn't it?

Like the other commenter said that's normal. Nothing there implies there's a lower chance to conceive than IRL.

IRL chance of pregnancy during the fertile window is anywhere from 25-35% for a healthy couple under 30 years of age. Outside of the window or after 30 it drops to 5-11% and drops lower still with increasing age.

Artificial Insemination has a success rate of around 40% which really isn't that much higher.

It's not something unique to this story compared to Real Life.

Yeah it was a novel of the same genre but different universe and author i used as an example since I found the worldbuilding top tier.
Translation on LightNovelsTranslations
Manga adaptation of said novel you might be familiar with (manga adaptation of the novel)
The raws themselves do infact create some explanation to the worldbuilding.

I think that the 1:39 universe could theoretically do some worldbuilding to explain.
