Hello,( survival race )

Concord’s launch feels like a failure many players saw coming, despite the massive budget and long development time.

So what really went wronggeneric characters, weak identity, or poor naming and direction?

At what point should this project have been rethought?

Thank you so much!

  • The market for generic heroshooters has been way oversaturated during the release.
  • Then they were a full prize title in a genre that's commonly f2p
  • Then their character design were so shit that it lacked entries on rule34 and redesigning the entire cast was a trend from illustrators
  • And also the studio heads were utter twats in public.
  • Their studio culture was also very much toxic positivity, with criticism verboten
  • Their trailers were also rather confusing, hinting at a story-based adventure, before showing themselves to be a generic hero-shooter
  • And also Sony for some reason considered it to be an IP that could be their flagship title and pumped way too much into it.

When it should've been rethought?
The latest point was when the market of hero-shooters was pretty saturated, they could've maybe gotten away with making it an adventure or something
Probably way earlier, though, it seems they didn't ever let their work be properly reviewed by trusted externals
