Any hater for GDscans is way better than having to wait literal months for GD scans to release their version. And not to mention paywall.

He's not a hater, though. He does this from time to time in an attempt to solicit money. And nothing ever comes out of his attempts so don't expect any more chapters past the last one he did.

Thats the thing. His quality is often very bad, but he at least releases something. And vs GDS its great, as it prompts them to release some of their stash. The problems with Comicdom is easy to avoid, just don't donate, to be honest calling it a scam is a stretch, yes he is lying about reason for the need of money, but he is at least providing a translation, a service. Now I wouldn't trust him to release more if paid, and pretty sure he scammed some translators and didnt pay them. But I doubt he is working with anyone he has scammed at this point.

And that is the thing, Comicdom at least puts out a product, that alone makes him better. GDS are more like scalpers, they treat series as if they own them, chasing off others from the series, or only releasing as adds for their paid site.

So so Comicdom is just ignoreable, many redo the series better, but GDS actively causes damage to series as works they take possession of end up with no updates for long stretches.

I agree with you re: GDS and I support any decent group sniping them, but cheering for Comicdom isn't the way. If you're going to set the bar low and say "he at least releases something" you might as well whip out your phone and Google translate things yourself; why bother waiting for and relying on a crappy excuse of a scanlator - or any scanlator for that matter - to get things moving when you can do it yourself for free and in almost no time at all?

And that's not taking into consideration the others who aren't aware of who Comicdom are, what they do, and just read their stuff thinking it's a proper translation (they exist, just look at some of the comments here). They most likely won't read a proper release when it does come out - heck, they probably will even complain that they're getting reuploads instead of new ones - and that's on them, but the point here is to raise awareness.
