LN/manga authors tend to recoil at the sight of logic. MC can kill countless nameless background characters, but they'll show mercy to the true villains.

Literally my comment on the previous chapter. Why do they ALWAYS do this? Saving villains for future, poor writing ffs.

9 years is not a huge age gap, lol. My parents have 12 years between them, my cousin and her husband (she's older) have 11 years...

Yeah either make MC younger even by a few years or her a few years older. It's so squicky they first met when she was 9 and him 18.

Letting the enemy go like this to "deliver a message is dumb. Kill them and let the message be "If you interfere with me I'll wipe you all out"
