Either the scanlators mistranslated monsters as "intruders", error on the author part, or Simon is attacking via dreams or some shit so they're not intruding phsyically.

I mean remember that the dungeon is acting very odd and rearranging. The goddess was meant to be on what floor 20? But they entered her area from floor 2-3, and then they are currently in the stairway back towards the entrance. So right now they are at the end of either floor 2-3 so not that deep, yeah sandpike isnt top tier, but they are still able to fight at a C rank or so. They also have been in the dungeon before, so may know their way around a bit.

At least the mage girl seems to be second-guessing the situation they're in right now. At this point, she's the 'smartest' out of all of them there, and I'm pretty sure we've seen hints of this smidge of conscience sprinkled through the series for some time, so there's some continuity to her development, as well.

I don't think I want her to be part of Clover, but she has improved a bit as a character, I'll give her that.
