Speaking as a tall person who lives among tall people, sadly, it doesn't really work like the ending here.

When you're both huge (particularly if they're as huge as they're drawn, rather than the numeric heights attributed to them), both of you will throw out your back trying to carry the other person.

Tiny people can carry each other just fine, but huge people's spines already are nearing capacity with the mass of their own bodies and will not be happy about doubling that weight.

(Like, okay. It'd probably still be possible with how young they are, with sufficient bravado. But they'd likely quickly be paying the price for it going through even their twenties.)
