I'm guessing based on the plots of other stories I've read but mc was probably sent back in time to before this labyrinth of shadows thing happened and pulled in 150 million people. Or more likely just mc's memories were sent back since he would be too OP if he retained his magical abilities. And I would expect him to be the only one whose memories were sent back in time.

@Drifter But the reviving x years in the past reminds me of....... and I'm drawing a blank..... the Chinese one, with Ni Li, the demon beast spirits, and the Sacred family. He dies and revives as his 10(?) year old self, kind of like this guy reviving as his teenage(?) self.

For some reason I was thinking Heavenly something something Demons, but I think I only read two chapters of Irregular at Magic Highschool, mostly because of everything else I'm reading but also because it has like, 8 or 9 parts and I was too lazy to figure out which was which.
