I really like the story so far, looking forward to how it develops. Thank you Wowe Scans for the translations thus far.

@Fuko I guess she died instead.

Now, did he really return? Or perhaps this IS a shadow world, and he has to save everyone who died in order to defeat it.
Or better yet, perhaps now that they defeated the shadow world, the roles have reversed. Now the shadow world must defeat him as he reenacts history.

Wait, he used an analysis ability on the dragon right? If the dragon was the source of the shadow worlds, perhaps he is the source of this one.

is this the part where she causes an attraction to a monster bc of her magic?

Yeah, I think she died as well... Although, it's possible she did come back and is just trying to reenact the events that lead to her death in order to change them from the moment slightly before. Like, she knows how to get to and beat the end boss, but just needs to avoid the explosion sort of thing. That doesn't seem likely though, does it? I guess from a purely logical viewpoint where you don't care about who died or what happened and the ends justify the means it could work, but you'd still think she would try to do better than what they previously accomplished. Anyway, I'm clearly overthinking it.

If we assume he is the only one to reincarnate i think it's either specifically because he was the weakest (causing it to affect him differently than the others) or that he analyzed dragon magic.
OR we just get a "because the author wanted him to".

it's still too early to make any accurate predictions.
I've just thought of 4 possibilities now:
1. it's not confirmed that she doesn't remember him, she may have said that to test him to see if he has his future memories
2. she was standing a a bit farther away from the group when the explosion happened, so whatever caused him to time travel way have affected her differently: i.e. she travels to another point in time
3. MC supposedly has the most magical talent out of the group, so maybe he instinctively protected himself with his magic or something.
4. the dragon 's heart instinctively felt something different for MC (curiosity/love/fear/rage) because he was a greater threat than the rest of the group. so it's affected him differently (time travel) than the rest of the group (no time travel)

Everyone in this manhua is a fucking asshole, is this like "mc get's shit on first then later he shits them" kinda thing. It's pretty obvious mc is not going to stay weak (chapter 1) but hot damn each chapter is just more assholes which i'm surprise mc would want to "save them".

@Happily_Grim: Don't forget, it's been 13 year. If she slightly strays from the path the outcome changes anyway way before the end. I can't imaging she lets 100 million people die again, for that tiny chance. Not if the alternative is to beat the shadowworld way earlier with her knowledge.
Anyway, I'm clearly overthinking it.
Nah, you aren't. It's a total legit thesis.

Yeah, which is why I said it doesn't seem likely. No matter how "straight" of a character she is it would be damn near impossible to replicate events, and she'd have to be out of her damn mind to just let that many people die. Not to mention, in the unlikely case that she were brought back, then if her plan was to reenact events it would only make sense to attempt to do so after you've confirmed you were the only one to come back. Since if anyone else came back they could blow that plan right out the window in no time.
Well, at least the story seems somewhat interesting for now... if not a bit cliched. Although even a cliche can be good and fun to read if done right. I don't have much of a problem with them as much as some others.

Wait, wait.
That is a good point there @Fuko

Remember when in the last chapter we were told that the shadow worlds are essentially just a repeat of past historical events after it devours the real world, and that to defeat it, you have to reenact the last but with “better changes”.

And then you notice that the MC is in the past and attempting to do the same thing, it does raise a lot of red flags doesn’t it. It’s actually quite a plausible theory. Now the question is, is this just a random theory, the big reveal, or a red herring planted by the author.
