Cause they are too stubborn and won't believe anything from their enemies. And they're hypocrites too, they are a bunch of self-absorbed assholes looking for revenge and making themselves saviors in the process. If they really cared about the common people they would not involve civilians.

Just because they wont believe him does not mean he wouldn't tell them, I would personally have mentioned it just because its annoying getting lumped in with those shitty nobles who put him and a bunch of other talents in beta class.
I think a bigger reason he has not said it yet is because there hasn't really been a good opening to do so, every time it comes up there is something more important to use his talk action on.
