Shoujo, shounen, seinen, josei, they're all demographics. And people being people, they all like different things even within a particular demographic. So you got battle shounen like manga in shoujo, fluffy romance in shounen, filthy near-hentai smut in josei, and pure hearted romance in seinen. And then you got readers who cross over demographics too. So while a certain type of manga may be more likely in one demographic, it's not unusual to find ones like this.

That said, this really needs to catch up. I've read to chapter 20 and it's quickly becoming one of my very favorites.

I feel like most smut manga are josei. The shounen ones get shitty harem eroticas at best 😭. But then again the sheer amount of doujinshis and oneshot hentai we get from shounen.
