I think Hamita is likely trying to not be a one trick pony writer that only does dark endings.

The japanese comments on Twitter caught on to the dark end gimmick and began to call Hamita out.

I guess the constant meme comments thrown at Hamita about them being an edgelord may have gotten to them.
