Good luck trying to find a gf who isn't at least as much of a nutjob as he is... I don't think there are normal ladies out there who'd be interested in guys who talk to imaginary friends. Is his idea stupid? Yes, but maybe it's also an indication that his mind is slipping and he's starting to lose the ability to think clearly.

I think it’s a pretty good plan. It’s only adorable when it’s through a screen. Two situations will happen, either the guy just doesn’t give a damn (which clearly isn’t happening) or he will drive himself mad. Not that he can do much else anyway.
