They made up? Seriously, All that took was that, it resulted in nothing. Where is my forced drama, author? Show me how low you can get!! You can't just keep getting away with it!! 💢💢
Hey, it took them a year and a lot of commitment from the guy to not take the easier route of giving up. Surely counts for something.
Not sure what he sees in the girl though.

Not talking to him for a whole year despite numerous attempted apologies because of one fight is not a good sign for their future.
Basically this. Even for an overly emotional teen, a month would already be stretching it. A year? If I don't interact with someone for a year, I don't even remember their name anymore. They are "that friend of Mike's who has a nice car" or something.

The story-telling ball is still in the gutter, and I don't expect it t jump out and hit any of the pins.

The only way the ghosting for 1 year would have made sense is if Misa mistakenly believed that Jun and Kawai started going out, but then she'd have to give up on him and that didn't happen at all; not to mention she'd have noticed they weren't going out.

1 month would be more believable, but the mangaka probably thought 1 year would be more dramatic (and they probably wanted to skip it forward to high school). At least they've made up now, but they'll have a year's worth of catching up and patching up to do.
