Why are People discussing Isekai in a story thats not isekai? XD
And I have to say i hate the Main. He wasnt treated THAT badly i mean i have seen redoer hero or some other You can leave our group now because you are weak manga where the mains REALY are treatet badly. We sa a littel harsh comments and Airheadnes but remember how sword girl cried and begged to be forgiven and wanted to change cause she LOVES him?
And he behaves like she abused him and treated him badly.i mean she even said in one chapter she treated him that way so he can be stronger so they can be together.
This is all the MC fault and his bitchyness for her sake she should forget that jerk and look for a better person.....

I have a few thoughts on this chapter.

1. Honestly I don't think she can ever truly redeem herself for how she treated the MC, like has been said she specifically only realised that she was wrong post his supposed death.

2. She had a sword against the Son's neck to the point of drawing blood, the assassin move was incredibly stupid cause she should (not could) have killed him the second the glass broke. Especially when you consider the dodge action she took, for that matter it's amazing the assassins didn't kill the hostage either.

3. I don't understand how the PM's son thinks its any different to force a woman with the rapey time and imprisoning her and forcing her over time (Probably with some kind of brainwashing) to rape her?!?

4. The WN has the polygamy, harem tags so careful on that going forward. I've had a a bad feeling they'll reunited the toxic ex as a harem member .

5. No guards (or a maid) watching over the hostages room and is unlocked? For pretty competent schemers they really screwed the pooch on that and I find that very hard to believe.

6. They are really trying their best to show the childhood friend is repenting but what she did would permenently scar a persons mental health, which is another point of annoyance for this series cause the MC seems pretty fine after he leaves.

I'd like to push back against point 1 and the things related to it (I agree with the rest):

She had a breakthrough moment, and it would be fair to say she probably won't be toxic to Finn/Flick anymore. Yes, it took a lot to get there, but once a person reaches that breaking point, real change is the likely result.

Your perception of abuse is very off if you're referencing some of the most unrealistically cruel characters known to manga.

She isolated him, constantly berated him, gave him stuff he didn't want, he had an allowance, she made all the decisions, took "boyfriend benefits" while refusing "girlfriend benefits", etc.

That's extremely emasculating, and emotional abuse. He didn't even try magic because even that decision was up to her.

And considering they trained together and she was constantly trying to get him to improve, there was possibly some physical abuse as well.

And this happened for years.

In both ways shown and told—regardless of the execution—there's way too much stuff for this to only have gone on for only a couple of months or so.

I see her having treated him like a slave for a couple of years and being arrogant enough to expect him to return with her fetch quest completed.

No, she does not deserve to be forced to marry anyone. I never said nor implied that, so don't put words into my mouth. In fact, I'm hoping there can be a reconciliation.

She's literally a strong fighter, she can escape from what she doesn't like... kind of like she already has.

I went back and re-read the story, and I'll give you that the author failed to show the MC as having a good reason to leave. He certainly told instead of showed, and even then it needed to be further addressed in later chapters.

I'll also maintain I believe there is evidence that at least support the idea of their relationship being abusive even as early as their days as adventurers, seeing as how the MC never even checked his magic because the girl thought magic was heresy even though she seems to be the only person in this manga who has an aversion to magic.

Also, how is treating a person like a pet not treating them like a slave? People aren't pets.

With that said, I get it, you don't like the MC. I would argue his more immature side is expected. It's kind of like watching Renton Thurston in Eureka Seven... super cringe as an adult but his behavior does make sense.

The MC wasn't allowed to make decisions like checking his own magic, so I can't imagine he grew up to be very decisive, which might also explain why he bottled up his grievances for so long.

Then the girl he loves laughs at him for saying he's her boyfriend, he snaps, and like a teenager, stubbornly refuses to listen to anything.

And the longer this discussion goes on the more I realize how poorly written the start of this manga is. I mean, I'm a writer. I'm realizing how much my brain is smoothing over and filling up the gaps. It's a shame because the rest of this story is pretty good.

And the MC at the start doesn't have the same characterization as the MC once he's left. I don't know why I didn't notice that sooner.

A Slave is moslty a object to use, mistreat and ignore its needs.(And Yes most Isekai forget that slaves are often treatet worse then Animal)
I realy would like to read the LN/WN maybee things are clearer there this seems like a case of bad adepted.

I despise sexual assault subplots like this, but it's good that Alfine is at least strong enough to save herself in the end. The story set her up to be strong, as one of her few qualities among her many flaws, and she finally made use of that quality here. Bad writing would've made her suddenly weak and helpless until the end despite her being a nationally famous "sword saint" but I'm glad that was averted.

Watching her realize her mistakes and feel regret over her actions, then grow a little as a person was nice to see. Although TBH, this manga failed to fully convince me about how horrible she was because of how rushed her abuse of Finn was summarized in the early chapters. So I don't really have this burning desire to see her get her "just desserts"; this attempted rape event was appalling for me.

But I will not ask for them to get back together. Flick and Noelia are simply superior as a (potential) couple, and I'm saying this as a normally fan of childhood friend couples. Alfine deserves a chance to see him again, but only after she's walked her road to redemption. And even then, it's to allow her to finally apologize to him and have them amicably part ways.

The decision to let that young noble leave was the correct one. Having already failed his plan of getting her forced consent, at this point he is just as likely to fail the pursuit by trying to be in charge despite his butler clearly being more clever / careful / etc.
