Finally read the rest of this series (you'll have to look elsewhere), it's a fun and simple story, with little misunderstanding or annoying drama outside of the fml's family.
That said, the sister (Lilian) is an interesting character; she's absolutely loathsome, and yet I can't help but feel a little sorry for her. She spent her whole life getting encouragement from everyone for all her opinions and actions, she believed herself to be just and righteous, and lived her life like a storybook character, all because she unintentionally hypnotising people.
So of course she would see the only person who would try to correct her as being evil and cruel.
They kind of gave her a dumb 'kick the puppy' moment when she was willing to sacrifice everyone for power, which was stupid and out of character for her; she was self righteous and selfish, but she was acting for the purpose of helping people - she wouldn't have agreed to sacrifice a group of people to gain power, because that isn't 'heroine' like.
At the end of the comic she's shown to simply be down on her luck, filthy, and repentant - having realised all she had done and agonising over it. However the Novel seems to go a little differently, as she slowly works her way up to a mercenary, she goes back to her home country and sees the effect her actions had on her family and friends, and realising there is no home for her, she decides to go to another country again, still repentant.
It honestly seems like you could make a second sequel comic series where you have a fallen heroine/villainess character like this work towards their redemption, after the initial series. Does she try to contact her sister? Does she cut herself off from them knowing she sins? Does she at least try to say sorry to them, or does she feel like that would burden them?
It's one of the most satisfying endings to an antagonist character I've read, but also one that really makes me want to see what happens after, and actually makes me want to root for them a little.
So anyway, enjoyable comic, art was a bit simple and kind of dull, but it did its job. Overall, simple satisfying fun outta ten.
