I'd be worried about taking too many handouts or gifts from this guy, especially after what her brother said about him. I was thinking the same thing. The plot device of Lily being good at something that's socially looked down on is super interesting and I want to see where it goes. (Hopefully she can make a name for herself and live happily ever after.)
