@Binary10011 it is not the best way, as it can cause wrinkles and it will not be 100 % dry, but you can press the towels into the dress to dry it out. If they were careful to only get the white wine and the water on the stain, it will be even easier to dry it. It would be better to have it hang on a line, back in their time, but seeing as they are at the ball, they have to make due with towels.

So... I've been meaning to say this but keeping forgetting... Daniel's rank is a Baron which is basically Rank 1 on the scale of Titled nobility (not all nobles have titles) and Mildred's brother Gary is a Count which is a 3 on scale that goes up to 7(if u don't include margraves, grand dukes, and prime ministers). So technically he's beneath Gary and his power and why people (other nobles) hold on such a pedestal is because he's the Queen Dowager's Godson and the Crown Prince's tutor. Otherwise he'd be low man on the totem pole, but these two things make him hard to deal with(also the fact that he's loaded) and therefore no one wants to be on his bad side.

the baronetcy is also a fictitious title that is given to the eldest sons of noble families when they can not yet inherit the title (for example if they reach adulthood but the father is still alive and well) so Walford FOR NOW is only a baron, but could easily be a future marquis or even a duke, for all we know
