I keep wondering, was her sister in the previous life some sort of glitch or interloper? Maybe she was interfering with how fate was supposed to play out and the universe rewound after ejecting her so that things could play out properly?

I like that there seems to be a mechanisim of the family remembering the past life- as she says she can't forgive them if they don't regret or remember their deeds. So instead we might actually get them being able to feel remorse and apologize.

TBH in general I have a fondness for people remembering/ remembering the ways they felt in past lives even if they weren't the regressor. Doubly so paired with a GOOD execution of 'things weren't what they seemed at that time'.

(Good here meaning like. Not just 'actually the shithead husband who treated you like dirt the whole time? He loved you alllll aloooong.'. Stuff like 'yeah someone was manipulating events so highly that even the people who cared for you couldn't communicate it'.)

My theory is MC has a named that control time. That's why she returned to the past.
Meanwhile, the sister has a power to increase the accumulation of malice. That's why the family hated her in the previous timeline. Also, since she accumulate malice, hessaros fought against the sister and broke since the sister had extra magic stolen from MC.
