I'm not sure I'd call this series cute, all we've seen a a girl with massive PTSD and other mental issues from her previous life forced to live again with said PTSD instigators with no will of her own. I'd go so far as to say it's pretty horror all things considered.

So her old adopted sister was probably a demon (how exactly does a kid know how to use a magic transfer spell?), got it!

The demon hints were dropped earlier, so I'm more suspecting that her nightmares are some sort of demon residue from the sister and her technically sharing mana at the time of death instead of the sister actually being a proper demon? An actual demon seems like the sort of thing this kind of society would be specialized in detecting or warding off instead of having it live with you for decades.
