Would have been more interesting if she stayed with the nanny and threw a wrench in her enemy's plans from the outside. Surely the sister would just do the spell on a new target and she could with her years of extra knowledge find a way to break/reveal the curse publicly? It's not like the Nacht family wasn't also abusive with their neglect in their own way. She's gonna inevitably start caring about them but they really don't deserve it after she's seen them take the mask off.
