'This was a long and grueling battle' That was a fucking lie, the only Executive who didn't get squashed instantly was the blonde guy.
I'm absolutely not surprised by the Hiatus announcement and the author being a guy who constantly think of new stories given how the last few chapters of the season seemed pretty rushed and how he changed the entire power system of the story like 3 times in one season (First the 'capture' stuff which is now relagated to offscreen info gathering, then the stats stuff and now the animal powers / classes with the 'awakened state' that frankly didn't do shit shit). He also filled out the casts with like 4 'main' girls already.
Hell, even the entire 'Underdog tournament' thing clearly got rushed and turned from a lengthy thing where they rise through the ranks to a small boss rush, we didn't even see their 'non-executive' initiatory fights.
It's a real shame Mo Hara didn't even get a full fight against the Bear guy but again, it was a complet stomp and pretty rushed to begin with. Seriously Barbarian and Berserker powercrept Ninja so fucking hard in a handful of chapters, it's crazy.
At least the transition from 'Anti-Bully crusader' to 'Turf War against another System-user' was done satisfyingly thanks to the first bully captured realizing how awful his actions were and him doing his best to repent.
I really wonder how the author will handle a season 2, especially after changing the power system so much in season 1, I wouldn't be surprised if it turned into a completely different story. It's gonna be even harder since season 1's bad guys are still around but basically already halfway defeated so there isn't much 'substance' left to them to last a full season.
