Even with this chapter getting translated 7 months after chapter 2, I never once forgot about this series. I know that Aokishi is a tri-monthly or seasonal magazine (or something of the sort), so I knew it'd be a while between releases, but regardless I'm glad its back in some capacity here. Thanks for the translation!

Also the Volume 1 cover is very cool.

I think the reason Shion wants to kill her sisters is because they killed their mother. I think each one of them wanted to become the ruler, but none of them could beat their mother fairly. So they teamed up and killed her together, and with her out of the way they only needed to worry about killing their remaining sisters to become the sole ruler. Shion, and possibly the second daughter may have been the only ones not involved in the coup, and now Shion wants revenge.

Holy cow, I was not expecting this... Talk about a pleasant surprise. Thank you Platinum Crown, for picking the series back up! :D

The raws seem to be updated on Comic-Walker now; instead of paying for the monthly Aokishi issue like you guys seem to have done for this chapter's scanlation, perhaps you could source the raws from there instead to save on costs?

Only Shion would wear a lab coat like that to replace her favorite jacket, the absence of which weighs heavily on all our minds.

Also, on page 5, the Professor's desk has objects that look exactly like Moneko, the proxy for the eldest vampire sister (Azami). It makes me wonder if the two are the same person: the Professor says that their body and the laboratory are one and the same; Moneko being able to drink tea despite being a proxy might be related to this.

It makes me wonder: what has the Professor done for Shion for the two of them to be on a first-name basis? Shion absolutely detests anybody who just calls her Shion, after all.

Sorry, Shion. But Dahlia looks way more stylish than you. You can't beat tetohair

Oh, good point. Also, Moneko has those perpetually closed eyes like the Professor. She might legit be Azami. If that is the case, and if possibly my theory is correct, then it's was the four sisters, Dahlia, Rubeckia, Arctotis and Usyuki that were involved in the possible coup against their mother. Azami, Yomogi and Shion didn't have anything to do with it. The two eldest sisters are maybe more neutral, but Shion is out for revenge. I mean, it could just be one big power struggle between the sister and none of them had a hand in their mother's death, but I think I'll stick to my theory until it gets disproven.

Another possibly stupid theory I have is about the Ice Cream Man. I think the revelation might be that he's the vampire girls' human father. I really have no evidence for this, it's really just something I thought might be the case. I'm most certainly wrong about this. When he was referring to Shion, he just called her "the youngest" implying some familiarity with the sisters. Also his description in the end, about how he's a mysterious man, he cares about kids, and that his mind isn't sound, which might be due to being infected with the formula. All of these feel like subtle clues hinting that he might indeed be the dad. And if the Professor really is Azami, she might also be searching for a way to cure the infection too in order to save her dad. Again, this is just me making wild theories out of basically nothing, most likely it's all wrong.

Its finally here...

I love Maroma and Shion's dynamic. Their bickering brings reveals more to their characters beyond their character archetypes. Even though she appears to be childish and dumb, I like how Maroma can call out Shion on her hypocrisies and contradictions, which exposes Shion's childishness despite her commitment to living up a to cool and mature identity. It helps to emphasize that they are really just children despite the things they get into. Identity seems to be a strong theme that the manga will follow, and I like how lots of the bickering ties into that theme, where they get into arguments about who are supposed to be.

Out of all the sisters, Dahlia is definitely my favorite design. Such a great fusion of demon, vampire, and astronaut. The void in her helmet really captures that horror of space.
The Ice cream guy also looks awesome. He was designed by the monster designer rather than Kokamumo and I wanna find more of their work but I can't find them anywhere online interestingly.
