While Acro /アクロ literally means what the TL says, in Japanese it’s pronounced the same as the kanji 悪路 (Akuro), which means 'Evil Path.' I believe that’s the true meaning of the title, as 'Trip on the Evil Path' (悪路Trip) certainly makes more sense than 'Trip to the Highest' (AcroTrip).

Probably a play on the word, with both meanings used, essentially becoming 'Trip on/to the peak of the evil path'. Or I am assigning far more intelligence and wit to the author than was used for the title.
