One of the few manga where, when they say "historical", they REALLY MEAN IT. And yet it's very dramatic . . . well, the real world events were very dramatic after all, it was one of the most important wars of all antiquity, the stakes who would be boss of the Mediterranean, the very existence of Carthage and its great mercantile network, and perhaps the very existence of Rome herself. Anyway, this manga is great and I respect the hell out of it.

Is there any sign for update?
it's been a while since the last update.
I'm out of stock about historical manga. This is good, highly recommended.
This manga really defines what it's called history, but seems underrated and only some people know.
I just happened found that vol 13 (last volume) has been released. And we are still stuck in vol 6

I already catch up to Plinius (no one translate it yet, you should try it too, it really is good).

From website of people who used to scanlate it:

Q. Have you dropped Ad Astra?

Yes. If anyone’s interested in continuing scanlating Ad Astra, contact our email for free digital scans up to vol 8.

As to why we dropped it, lack of time / force of will to continue.

Is this thing continued or it's just "bait" chapter to find translator?

I like the story and I realize Scipio is meant to be the main character, but I still feel the author is giving him too big of a role in the early stages of the war.

I think the author handled chapter 39 flawlessly. Knowing what's going to happen next according to history, I'm satisfied.

Wtf, was reading a raw manga on lhscans and the last chapter of a certain manga was actually mixed up, it was the last chapter of Hannibal. Wtf, such a poisonous revelation.

This one is great, on a whole nother level. I put it up there with the likes of blade of the immortal, hannibal, berserk, vagabond, vinland (in this order).

I have to wonder about Hannibal's motivations. Is he doing it in place of his father, who never got a chance to fight Rome to the end? Is it a superior intellect's spiteful desire to punish those Romans who're arrogant beyond their own abilities and contributions, such as the envoys who came to negotiate Carthage's surrender during his childhood? Is he simply delighting in using his intellect to its fullest? Or does he simply do it out of patriotism?
