Let’s be real, it was obviously gonna happen but still, poor Tarumi. I’m almost too used to the usual romance rival that’s basically shown as an “enemy” thus making them less likable. Rivals like Tarumi will always feel way more real and also their story will be even more sad…

Wow, what freaks me out the most is how similar Tarumi and Adachi are. Or at least how they manifest their feelings towards Shimamura. Im mentally stable, but if I was Adachi reading this I'd be like "oh brother shes just gonna steal her away from me shes the perfect shimamura magnet oh brother" cuz of how much it seems like it couldve been easy for it to have been Tarumi instead of Adachi. but Im less of a puppy girl and more of a dog woman so those thoughts dont bother me

- nevermind that! Didnt adachi used to be really quiet as a kid? And she doesnt have a good relationship with her parents (though that may have been because they couldnt deal with how quiet she was), tarumi and adachi are very different! And it aint just how they show their love to shimamura that matters - cux on that, they are very similar - but its what Shimamura needs! She needs some Adachi clinginess or she'll just be so stagnantly detached from everything!

Sorry Tarumi but the Shima-chan you liked died in middle school, and our current Shimamura can only be saved by the puppy that wont let go that is Adachi!
