Holy... this is actually like its being told through my perspective. Like I think like she does. For example when a guy started flirting with me (I’m also a guy but I’m straight.) I literally thought “Could he like guys?” And “ What would I do if he confessed?” (Cause I don’t like not finishing story’s I’ll cut to the chase and tell you he asked me out but I regected him.) I have yet to find another character I can relate to as much as her.

This is such a bad first chapter (IMO). Even if you take into account the fact that the reader is coming from the first adaptation. Hopefully it levels out a bit later in pacing or something but at this point I minus well just watch the anime.

Huh. This is an interesting start to a manga. I've never read the LN so I can't really compare it.

Well, I never read the other adaptation or the original work, and I'm greatly enjoying this so far. It's...soft and cute.

I would reccomned also reading the other adaptation since I think the build-up is better. But, if you like this faster pace, then that's also fine

Huh, this was... Insanely rushed and poorly paced. I'd be completely lost on who these two are and what's going on if I hadn't already read the old version just yesterday. The art is sharper but lost that cozy, relaxed vibe that Shimamura likes so much. There's more inner monologue but it's like everything's being speedrun. Not having the two quirky friend characters is a big loss imo. It did the old version good to have another autism-styled character like the taller girl, so that Adachi stuck out a little less with her quirkiness.

Hoping they improve the pacing after this first volume because so far this is a massive downgrade from the older manga version. It just looks shinier, in a mainstream plasticy way. Art style is more "ordinary", weirdly zoomed in and more confusing than the clearly readable one in the older manga.
