This is my favorite yuri manga so far, my heart hurts when Adachi Sakura feels sad or cries.. I kinda see a little bit of myself on her when i used to be a teenage boy.. is not easy being that way but kudos to those like Shimamura who have an enormous amount of patience lol

This main relationship throughout this story is just so incredibly one-sided it just makes it painful to read through. Shimamura doesn’t once show any sort of reciprocation towards Adachi. They really only seem to get together because Adachi likes Shimamura and Shimamura just decides “why not?” I read through 41 chapters hoping it would get better or we’d at least get any progress but there wasn’t much. I didn’t like either of the main characters, in fact they were both very dislikable. Overall the art is pretty cute but I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone. I can see the appeal though, I just didn’t personally enjoy it.

I kind of love how "cold" Shimamura is. She’s like a seagull’s feather drifting above the ocean, carried this way or that depending on the strength and direction of the tides. And the fact that she’s like this is also what makes me feel a bit sad for Adachi—it’s like Shimamura just goes along with whatever Adachi suggests, whether she truly wants it or not.

If it were any other character suggesting the same things, Shimamura would probably accept them too.

Adachi, on the other hand, is like a glass full of water. She’s always longed to love someone, to be loved, to feel affection—and now, she’s ready to pour all of that water into the girl she loves, without even stopping to think whether it might hurt Shimamura.

Together, they reflect that stage of life so well: Adachi’s fear of losing her love shows up as possessiveness and a lack of self-love. Shimamura’s fear of allowing herself to truly feel, of being who she really is, appears as indifference—a kind of cold kindness.

It’s a beautiful read, and I truly hope Adachi gets the chance to meet other people—maybe even someone better than her future wife, Shimamura.

Yay another opportunity to shit on Adachi, I'm so happy we, Adachi haters, are not alone, although it's interesting how so many people like her. The author created the most loser character with overbearing traits, and constantly put her in situations highlighting her annoying characteristics that I kept reading it to see her failling, ultil the meltdown. She went from pathetic to that weirdo who stalks anyone who is a bit nice towards them. It's funny how people normally addresses Adachi and Shimamura as each others half, as if neither could find someone to match their "crazyness", but in the same story Tarumi exists, she strives to form a stronger bond with Shimamura in a non creep way, she will only faill for the story sake, it's the author's choice. I could say Tarumi is a improved version of Adachi if this one had any good feature, which she doesn't, so I can't say that. And honestly, the all "Shimamura is so detached she doesn't realize the pain she inflicts in Adachi" is kind of rebuted when she describes how her actions will hurt Adachi, that's not a mental health issue, she is a sadist, and I can't blame her, Adachi is too much, the lucky in this story is not Shimamura.

I mean its by in no way an excuse but I believe that we have seen that Adachi hasn't had many friends so she probably doesn't have adequate skills when it comes to social interactions and emotional regulation. Like I said, no excuses but a possible reason
