A bit sad that a girl who had zero privacy her whole life (ironically enough, from a politician father who probably has a dozen skeletons in his closet) feel hard because one person for once respected her boundaries. But I guess that's just life sometimes.

Also, the stepmom is still being wishy-washy on her feelings. She did say to go out and meet other people his age, so mission accomplished (again). But it's clear where her own desires lie.
