On today's episode of slop or not, this is.... Slop, unfortunately
Whilst not horrible in terms of slop, it hits ALL of the generic tropes from years ago. Villains are one dimensional. The animosity is one dimensional. The world isn't really built at all so much as it is something to be presumed by the reader due to sheer familiarity with the concepts of "climbing the tower" and "isekai". Whilst this series DOES hit some interesting points with its brief commentary on the academy's inability to properly protect its students, this is quickly glossed over in favour of some OK character development, which itself isn't an issue but makes it disappointing.
The world is also not built at all. Even beyond obvious things like the environment and organisations (which are NOT fleshed out and expected to be just accepted by the reader) the "power system" (if you can even call it that) is non-existent. We don't know how students benefit from staying in the academy. We don't see how they get stronger. The only reason why the protagonist is "strong" is because of his cheat, but that itself is nothing special either; it functionally translates to attribute stealing hiding under the skin of "language".
The highlight of the series is probably its characterisation of the main quartet (since they're really the only ones who even have much of a character). Whilst they do still kind of fall into generic tropey roles, they're a far cry from the rest of the comically evil or barely present side characters.
Even then, you can quickly scroll through large chunks of interaction and still lose nothing since they are simply that predictable.
Tldr; not good, read if you have NOTHING else on your platter or a chronic procrastinator (like me).
