This can't be, this week I've read a story about a VR mmo that let's you log out, an otome villainess that doesn't get dumped by her fiance and now a useless weak power protagonist that isn't immediately kicked from his family with siblings and parents that love him. I don't like this, something is terribly wrong.

Is it going to be he only showed those in his family and their employees, and his father is going to be dead with the killers pinning it on MC, with the claims "he was jealous of his useful family members"?

Can we even call it that? He had two snippity dudes gossip about him, and that was it; the church seemed pretty excited by his 'unique' magic.
But yes, really supportive families in these kinds of stories are rare.

Definitely feels like a bait and switch. Things were going too good for the MC, so the author decided to spice things up a little by killing off part or all of his family.

Nothing says great character design like a tragically average origin story.

Too OP too fast.

Light magic as in photons, not holy is an interesting premise, but with isekai and modern technological knowledge it would be way better if MC actually had the potential to JUST generate light (which by itself would be equivalent of being a walking flashlight, evolving into walking AA seeker light from WW2 era - nice, but kinda useless like people assume), and to actually use it for things like combat/communication he'd have to use technology.
So no gravity defying light arrows, lasers from the fingertip, optical camouflage but literally a glass cannon.
Make him get some lenses for his first gun. Make him look for a pure ruby to build a ruby laser. IDK, maybe even some sort of optical telegraph? Endless possibilities, instead of beach episode they could make a tanning salon episode.
Could make him physics student to explain the knowledge, and show him trying to handle it with medieval level technology.
Want to make your laser curve? Sure, let him find someone withh gravity magic.

Judging from the cover art it seems mc will travel alongside his sister while he will be a sword used and she will be a mage user. How unusual the MC don't pick up a random girl along his Journey though maybe that will happen later
