If these are indeed the final chapters, then from the start the "Publication Status" should have been set to "Completed."

I don't like this development. There's no catharsis, because they aren't fighting Sein as the hero who expelled Reto. He's just another bloodthirsty monster.

How weak is Sein? He was easily defeated by the demons, and is now not even able to take care of a few newbies. The author really dropped the ball with this plot here.

The idea that the "newbies" have grown enough to hold their own against an S-rank adventurer is kind of the point. Plus it seems that the transformation has made Sein go berzerk

Yeah the storyline has definitely been pretty predictable and one-dimensional.

It’s been a drag to scanlate but I didn’t want to drop it so close to the final chapter.

It just feels like it’s lacking that emotional payoff, especially with the shift in how Sein is portrayed. The author really undermines the whole S-rank concept that it almost feels like any newbie adventurers could defeat one without breaking a sweat. It just takes away a lot of the stakes and excitement that should come with facing such powerful foes.

• The final chapter fields should be set to the final full chapter's number or the final chapter as marked by the publisher if possible. Leave blank for oneshots.
• The publication status refers to the status of publication in the country of origin, not the scanlation status of the title.
