Well he has the affection meter ready at all times so he'll know when someone isn't interested in him and only wants the money and/or is planning to betray him.

Honestly, its hard to process the situation because of how unfamiliar it is to me. The story shows a society that finds it normal to have affection just because of money. But i do know in reality, money=stability and is the best trait you would want.

But the affection meter confuses me to a degree because of this. what is affection? Theyre just interested in his for the money. Is that interest for money still considered affection? I guess i just hope his picks them carefully and takes care of each one of them properly.

In earlier chapters, affection levels do drop. So he would have to navigate very carefully on how to increase his personal capital and be financially independent.
