that one editor seems a bit shady in his.. uh.. ways, so I'm not completely sad yet.
But although the power of yuri is mighty, what can it do against fuckin tentacles + shounen?

@FantasyMaster I personally think the fellow is actually giving them an absolutely valuable learning experience and indirectly helping Tanaka as an editor as well, showing her how her ability as an editor isn't as limited as she thinks it is.

Plus, let's not forget It was Yuri vs. Tentacles. Let's be real here, if she would've chosen something more generic or "relatable" for the portrayed audience she could've garnered a lotta more votes, but yuri doesn't have as strong of a backing.

And honestly speaking, this battle is quite lax. It seems more fun than it is taunting and harmful to the losing side.

Absolutely, but there're ways and ways to do that. I can't comment on the yuri vs tentacle because, as you said, there's the obvious gap in "utility", in the end it's a ero magazine and its common readers are males (and like Tanaka said, we mostly look for that momentary satisfaction...plot comes after)
And I also agree on the "experience is the best teacher", but he's also acting all smug and mighty...which is what is pissing me off (and that's why, imo, there're ways and ways....he could have just create a similar situation but milder instead of making it almost a personal challenge)

There sure is a lot of hate for that nishi editor even tho he made atleast 2 if not 3 of his colleagues grow (norush and tanaka for sure , can't say for sure about toda)

i dont like the yuri bias here and how it makes shounen out to be lesser to yuri
im reading it cuz its a genuinely interesting manga about manga
but as a shounen reader this rubs me the wrong way

this mangas still a fun read though

uhh did you see who won ? , like even irl you can find probably 9/10 shonen readers with 1/10 yuri i think , how does that portray shonen as inferior ?
incase you meant hate on tentacles , i personally hate tentacles as much as ntr so can't really defend that stuff sorry
