I just want to leave this comment as a memento, the big twist, the revelation of why their relationship never progressed, the ultimate justification the author made up, I can't imagine waiting for more than a decade, over 200 nearly 300 chapters for this revelation of how the MC has been manipulated by the one who is supposed to love her , who knew just like everybody around her and he still willing to justify it.
And they never make up for this, things just go on as usual, nobody learns anything from it.
