So far vampires seem to be more like demons that feed on blood considering they come from the underworld and considering she was born to a pair of vampires and is betrothed to a vampire it seems like this isn't the kind of story where vampires can turn other people into vampires but rather that vampires are just a race of demons. Also I don't think she can turn him into a vampire otherwise the fiance would be a lot more concerned about that being an option.
