Thats true trust when a kid shares their food with you.

The dad is still on my shit list rn, his step mum clearly tried her best, baby bro obviously isn't at fault.

Thanks for the translation btw

(also i really hope someone thinks to photo copy/scan the recipe book... Theres no reason you cant scan all the pages, make some of the recipes and take photos of them, and use an online store or print shop to print out a few copies for family to share and leave the original with hiro.)

Just to clarify, did the mum pass away? Forgive my ignorance if it already said so, I can't seem to remember.

Thanks for the chapter!

Whew. Well... I think however things work out from here, maybe he'll be able to have a relationship with his little brother now. And his stepmom seems very sweet- maybe she wasn't super equipped to step into a parental relationship with him right away, but. Well. Family stuff is complicated.

I'm glad he didn't have to go alone.

When so many mangas depict parents to be shit like this its amazing their government is clueless on why their birth rates are the lowest in the world

If I recall correctly MC left the house to not get in thier new family way as opposed to being kicked out.
And that was because...? The father was frequently absent and never tried to ease him to the new family and it seems the father wasn't very present after her death. And seeing they only had another child after he left, it makes the MC feel more left out.

It isn't that uncommon to start living separately after high school graduation, either in the dorm at the uni or renting with friends to split the cost and working full/part-time.

What I'm saying, the dude stayed at home till graduation and could have still moved out even with caring parents (most of my friends did so tbh). There can be many reasons for that.
