I've been thinking about so much of the image play the characters go in this story( How they are perceived VS who they truly are).

How poetic irony plays an interesting role in ther development and breaking points/downfall...

And considering that i enjoy arrogant characters self-destruct out of their egos, and empty victories resulting in loss for the character...

My ideal ending would be Rika actually winning her status quo, keeping her image, her bussiness, and her family. However, Sousuke checks-out of their marriage, and Shiho follows suit. Meaning, even her family now is just that, an image. Sousuke and Shiho can be happy, but without her. The realization that she lost something true in her life is not just to punish her, is her final lie, the lie in her character arc...that she thought she was so broken and had nothing to lose or care, just keep up appearances and "continue to have fun"...
And then it hits her that she had feelings for the family she helped nurture. But it's already too late, she can't keep them close, no safe haven anymore...she breaks in definitive.
The outcome, however, i can't pinpoint. Will she give up and try to redeem herself? Will she divorce Sousuke and run away again? Will she end herself in despair? Her character is so open to interpretation that, who knows?
Most likely, it will be like this. It turns out that Rika just manipulated everyone, and she never cheated. And the last straw in the relationship between Soske and Rika will be that Rika manipulated Siho. Or Rika will play so much that she won't be able to prove his innocence. As a result, all her "pawns" will hate her and will not tell the truth. Although Rika will tell the truth, Soska won't believe her.

Chapter 68 dropped. Too much melodrama.
  • Misato explains that Rika and her are both whores, but that's a story from long ago;
  • Misato seems to be building up the feeling of arousal;
  • Sousuke wonders why she's doing it. She trapped her and the sex's not for money;
  • Details of his "size" and that she must get properly wet before engaging;
  • Just before she starts intercourse, Sousuke remembers the old man from ch 66( about Miyase san's story being unpleasant), and asks Misato if she's whoring herself on Rika's instructions;
  • Misato mutes, but answers that that's ridiculous, she ascertains she was her( Rika)'s friend, not above or below her;
  • Sousuke says Misato used to live in the village, but the people did not show a grudge/discomfort torwards her, as opposite to the animosity shown torwards Rika;
  • Misato's situation seems to be the opposite of Rika, and if she was one of the whore's/ Rika's friend, then that would've been shown easier. He doesn't know the reason why Misato said that, or is doing what she's doing;
  • Sousuke begins to cry;
  • He says it's painful what she's doing, based on Rika's instructions. He will not yield, and must resist, for he won't let that happen;
  • Misato says it's the same, but it doesn't matter to Sousuke, and that she's been doing these things since she achieved this body in university;
  • Sousuke says he won't deny it, but she's still doing this on Rika's instructions;
  • She says that, then, Sousuke shouldn't feel guilty. That she's dirty since way earlier, and she sold her body during high school. That she's just a dirty woman. Sousuke Denies it;
  • He screams that she isn't dirty, that the lack of discomfort torwards her( from the village) proves it, as they didn't even try to listen to his story, but stood near her. She helped him. And that she hasn't changed since then;
  • That she hasn't changed from the library time, and that she's a person with a beautiful heart;
  • She says it's unfair to talk about the past now. That back then, every time she was in trouble, he would help her. And even though he would stretch his hand, he was already in love with Rika;
  • So she starts cying and asks him to stop being kind to her;
  • She stops, gets up, get her cell phone and says it was a big failure;
  • She says she can't use the video, and the medicine is running out. This was supposed to be a threatening video, and pictures aren't allowed for that end;
  • She says she couldn't do the job given to her by Rika;
  • She says that was that. Around the time she was in high school, she started liking( love) a person, and when she noticed it, she brushed it of as stupid;
  • She asks Sousuke to help her;
  • He stands up, says to leave everything to him, and asks her to tell him everything about Yamada Rika;

If anyone had even a remote feeling that Rika wasn't a manipulative evil person...that really went away here, or there's the dellusion of the "mastermind" person to cope( again)...

There is an assumption that Soska will not be with Akiba. It seems to me that Akiba is somehow connected with the main villain.
I've read this in the comments of the site. Seems people still want to direct Rika's entire character's action to a "mastermind", as somewhat of a cope to justify her disparity in personality.

I think the story is going down the most predictable path.

In the "revenge" branch with Riki, the author is adding more weight to her crimes. The Momonga channel, in my opinion, will no longer play a significant role in this story.
Misato and her information will be central to a new attack from Sousuke; she is both a motivation (her backstory is heavier in Sousuke's eyes) and a weapon (she knows a lot).
With this, the author might be able to give Riki Miyase a more "criminal" ending, possibly involving law enforcement.

In the end, I will personally continue reading a few more chapters, finalize my understanding of the full picture, and then stop reading.
I am rapidly losing interest in this story because it has become too obvious and has lost all sense of horror for me.

When betrayal is carried out by a grotesque villain-a narcissist and manipulator, with not a shred of humanity-it is too far removed from me. The manga, which started as a drama, turns into yet another story that doesn’t move my emotions, and the detective aspect becomes completely irrelevant.

I don’t think I am wrong in my conclusions.

I think Momonga was really just the call to action, Shingo the first threshold, and that's about it. Misato may be the second Threshold, and maybe a Martyr of sorts, for Sousuke to finally break his lie of Rika. Probably his last threshold( alongside the return to the common world) will be tied to Akiba and his perception of reality shifting, starting his neutral development arc.

And i ackowledge your feelings, especially after rereading the Happening bar part. It seems Rika's dramatic irony was only methodical at best, and we still don't know her thoughts on the matters regarding the story, the last straw to solidify her character. When properly given, i believe that's when you should stop the reading( unless a major change happens).
