I like that this highlights the contrast between Sousuke's ideals, and the latent stress Rika has put him under this whole time.

He can spout all the platitudes he likes about his Black & White moralistic worldview and about how Rika is obviously a victim and wouldn't willfully do all the things we the reader has seen her do--and yet the moment he can take out any frustration on a "proxy Rika", he nearly kills a woman in his anger.

I don't know if I expect any significant reflection or introspection out of this story for anyone, but this feels like a breakwater chapter for Sousuke, if anything.

If he's given any chance to reflect on how hard he snapped here, I think his delusions about Rika are not long for this world.

There is a funny moment in the last chapter, when Soske shouts that Rika behaves calmly so that Soske doesn't do it. Chapter 9 - Matsuo's story about Rika and her bank account. 29 - Shiratori's story about Rika. 39 - meeting in the bar and dialogue between Rika, Shingo and Shiratori. 49 - video from the sd-card. 59 - Singo's memories of meeting with Rika, etc. 69 - Misato's memories of his student years with Rika.
