Why is this trope so popular in romance mangas and especially in shoujo, where a guy forces a kiss on a girl who has clearly expressed disinterest and/or refused him already? What's worse is that usually the guys who do this start going on and on about "I like you" and "Why aren't you going out with me?" right after, like they've just set the mood for a confession. It's not like they can misunderstand it either, just look at her face, dingus! The part I hate the most about this trope is when the girl who clearly traumatized by it, gets comforted by her boyfriend or the boyfriend disses out some justified punches to the offender, but the offender never acknowledges what they did was wrong. Sometimes they'll say sorry, but that's usually to the boyfriend and after he gets beat up by him. What about the actual victim here!? Don't they get an apology? Why are you apologizing to her boyfriend like she's some possession of his!? Do you actually feel bad for what you did, are you just making peace? There are some serious red flags on a guy who can force kisses on girls who he knows doesn't like him back and/or have a boyfriend. Why does no one seem to notice this!?

And of course, it doesn't matter the gender of the offender or victim here, it's wrong in all cases. I'm not asking for much, if this cliche can't go away, at least make the offenders acknowledge their mistakes and properly apologize to the victims or have them face proper consequences for forcing themselves on someone. For example, if it happens in school, it shouldn't be just the victim's lover to take vengeance for them but also the school should step in and implement measures to stop things like this from happening again.

TL;DR: How shoujo manga handles this guy forces unwanted kiss on girl makes the issue seems smaller than it really is. Honestly, what are the schools doing?
