Judging from this chapter, here’s my theory of the strings. As you can see the fact that both main characters lost the ability to feel the string makes it pretty unlikely that she lost her power, because it’d be a little weird that both would lose it at the same time. More likely, the strings aren’t a surefire sting of fate, more of a best match kind of thing based on personality of both characters and happiest future.
