People say the French are the biggest weebs in Europe, and Japanese certainly love Paris. But that on the side, it's easy to speed through career in Japan, where audience knows rakugo and the references, while 3 years to gain real recognition in just one foreign country sounds about right, especially if her network of helpers is limited to grandchild that happens to live there and such.
