Hikaru using the story to reflect her relationship to Akane is such a sick idea, got chills when I got to the page with that shadow Akane staring her down (not to mention that stellar 2-page spread for Hikaru, holy shit). I was expecting a Lot from the trio but I didn't think I'd already have my expectations blown away lmao

The audience wouldn't see Our Heroine in the wings; nor would they know enough to infer her presence. They'd just see intensity, which is a Very Good Thing in this case.

But Our Heroine has to top this performance for the story to move forward. So Akane is going to deliver a legendary performance.

Yes the audience wont, but im expecting the veteran who's anal about timing and purity to sense the slight offputting nature of where her intensity is coming from. She'll probably still score highly, but not as high as she'd hope for.

funny rakugo story might be easier to be a hit with the audience, but i always love when drama/horror story like this gets a spotlight
