it's only the first chapter into Kaisei's version, but interesting we havent seen any reaction from Issho, only Ikken. Issho was shown as early as the god appearing when Akane did it

definitely the most subdued of the Death reveals but I love how the rest of the chapter recontextualizes it. It goes from being Just Kaisei up there, floundering to capture an uninterested crowd that was wowed by Akane, to Just Haru, laying bare the culmination of everything he is instead of everything Issho wants him to be. That's about as Personal as his art could get to contrast what Akane was doing right before him

I feel silly for not thinking about what Kaisei's birth name could've been after last chapter tho lol, what a good reveal to contrast the scene on Issho explaining his rakugo name (especially with the anime getting to Akane learning why her dad named her that this weekend, shout outs to Parallels). I still want Akane to win, but I hope Haru at least pisses Issho off with this performance lol

Akane showed the imagery from the man's POV, so maybe Kaisei's gonna show the imagery from the god of death's POV?

What a conflicting feeling. I believe Akane's performance should win no matter what, but I still want to see him succeed too.

Realistically, I believe Kaisei should win - he is a rakugo of comparable talent with considerable more experience than Akane.

But narratively, it'd frustrate me if Akane lost.
